Going for Gold animation

Yesterday, James Betts offered to return to Glenaire to help us with another iPod animation session using I Can Animate for a new Y5/6 carousel group.  We weren't going to say no and what a fabulous afternoon of great Olympic and Paralympic values in operation.  Just have a look at the results...

(Did we enjoy it?  Just a bit!)

Y5s reflecting on what they've learnt today.

Y5 refreshed their memories on square numbers today and then investigated whether any whole number can be made from no more than 4 square numbers.  Everyone showed amazing resilience, worked as a great team and cracked on with the task at hand.  Spot Joshua's discovery too which he noticed during the lesson.  Mrs Bavinton may well still be working on this at home :-)

WOW! Our Y5 animation entry

CaitlinM, Katy and some of their friends have worked very hard indeed in their own times (and on their own) to produce this magnificent animation which we are entering into The Bradford Film & Animation Competition.  Fingers crossed we make it to the finals!

Good Luck!

Going for Gold Carousel

Our Y5/6 carousel launched today in great style.

A little while ago, Year 5 persuaded Mr Betts, the MD from Kudlian Software no less, to assist them with an afternoon of animation.

We had great fun with teams of children producing animations linked to Olympic events. The class used the Olympic & Paralympic values to work brillantly together.

What a fabulous afternoon we all had and a HUGE thank you to Mr Betts for joining us.

How many events can you spot?
