Year 5 worked really hard together to produce these fabulous adverts for a competition. They thought carefully about a punchy advert to persuade people to recycle more and to market Veolia Environmental Services, a large recycling company in the UK. The winners get to record their advert for a real radio broadcast.

Year 5 Christmas programming
Y5 have used tutorials in their independent computer time to learn how to program. They have created complex programming sequences like this loop sequence:
Year 5: please add a comment to help people use your Scratch applets - let them know if they need to use certain keys to activate actions.
Enjoy their success:

The Deep
A bit blurry I'm afraid as we weren't allowed to use the flash as it would scare the animals.

Exceptionally good speaking and listening
Click on the play buttons to hear this week's commentators as part of our Endless Ocean carousel in Year 5. Some of the children really tried to use their writing targets as they were speaking. Not an easy task... well done!

Dramatic commentaries from Year 5
In Year 5, we've been playing working on Endless Ocean on the Wii. We're currently running a carousel of activities. These children were working on their own to record commentaries of the dives they were watching other people do. Listen to their creativity and expression. Fabulous!

Superb speaking skills in Y5
We have been involved in different learning linked to Endless Ocean today. Here's Naomi's and Milla's commentary linked to the underwater scenes we were diving.
This is followed by a fact we picked up today. After feeling the weight of 1kg, we realised this was a sizeable fish!
And the grand finale is Adam who has made minutes of fabulous recordings about his underwater adventures (which did get a bit scary and gruesome!). This is a safe one to listen to :-) Listen out for his tremendous expression!
